Nasib baik. Wah, ramainya orang. Sudah ramai photographer yang sedia beraksi. Cepat-cepat saya mendapatkan ruang yang strategik. Tiba-tiba ternampak pula wajah yang sangat familiar. Kakak dan mama pun ada juga, hehehe. Bolehlah diorang tolong pegang beg camera ni... Hahaha.
Pembukaan yang sudah gemilang. Tujuh Bobolian (Bomoh wanita) yang diwakili oleh tujuh orang pemimpin Daerah Kota Marudu termasuk Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus J. O ataupun lebih dikenali sebagai Dr. Max yang juga merupakan ahli Parlimen Bandau (Kota Marudu, Sabah).
Kemudian tari sketsa 'Lagenda Huminodun' pula dipertunjukkan. Terkejut sedikit. Wah! Macam state level punya kaamatan. Nasib baik kurang bermain dengan lighting. Kalau tidak, confirm macam state level punya Kaamatan.
Persembahan artis lagilah best! Teruja sedikit. Betul-betul macam state level. Senyuman terukir. Bangga. Siapakah artis-artis itu?
That happened Friday night. This is the story that I would really like to share with all of you. The Sugandoi Competition (singing competition) held at Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association Hall (KDCA). 10 contestants were selected after the semi final held last Thursday and last Saturday night, the grand finale was held with the crowd yelling their favourites. But I have to say, the best will always be the best in their own way and this year, it goes down to Kota Belud as the winner for this year.
For those of you who are new to this, Sugandoi means star. It then refers to as The Kaamatan Star which is basically a singing competition. When crowned as the winner, it means you are a star.
Bravo Kota Belud!
Congratulations again to all the winners especially to Arie Famree Sius from Kota Belud. I have to agree that he has that showmanship and talent to be a good singer and performer. And to all the other contestants, you guys have proved that The Land Below The Wind has much to offer in the field of entertainment. The judges must have had a very hard time deciding the winners, I'm quite sure of it but at the end of the day, they have to choose only one and this time, it's from Kota Belud. Well done and congratulations Arie Famree Sius, I declare myself as one of your fan.
Till my next posting guys. I leave you guys with two of Arie Famree Sius's clips of the competition.

I was born on the very same day as today
Allow me to just sit here and sing 'Happy Birthday' to myself
Thank you God for giving me the chance to live until today

Banyaklah acara menarik semalam.
Girlfriend dia Form 4. Dia ni Form 5. Hehehe...
How have you been lately?
Hope things are well for you there.
Is it still cold there?
Just put on extra sweater and I think you'll be fine.
It's the busiest week yet for me at work now.
Got to manage my time wisely, I know.
It's exam week and at the same time reports and paper works due dates are at the corner since it's close to mid term school break.
I wonder if you remember how it felt like 'celebrating' holidays.
Well, I won't take much of your time but I really hope this letter finds you well.
I can't really be with you all the time, physically and emotionally but please remember that I'm working as hard as you too to make this work.
Above all, I just want to say that I miss you and I can't stop thinking about you.
Hugs and kisses to you
Take care and till then...

But every time I feel sad or depressed, I will always find the strength when reading his book. It helps me deals with things I'm sad about.
Recently, a long lost friends (two actually) suddenly called. Although it didn't happened on the same day but both of them came with the same intention; they need someone to hear them. At first it seems awkward as they were telling me their stories. All I can do is hear and speak where necessary because I don't really know what happened and judging is something is will never do.
They, both of them, called me continuously for a week or two and to my surprise, it sparked the feeling of comfortableness and I started giving advices and opinions. When I were about to have a feeling of connection with them, they suddenly stop calling and stop sending text, which is understandable that they were through with their problems. I realized that I am just someone for them to 'let go' and although I was okay with it, it hurts me to the fact that our friendships are based on problems.
Last night was the night I felt so miserable and I took the time to read Andrew Matthew's Happiness In Hard Times. I specifically turned to the title "Let Go" which made me realize how much stress I have put myself on. I learned that wanting things is alright and that hoping a better future starts to work today. But what I learned most was that I am what I chose to become and certainly I don't want to choose sadness. I'm not surprised actually. That's the nature of it. People tend to turn to God in time of distress. Not that much different for people too.
Yes, I miss the time when we are talking to each other but I need to move on and be happy. At least, they know that whenever they needed a friend, I'm here for them. And they knew that.
The love story, which made its debut at this year’s Sabah Fest, mesmerised the audience as they watched the various cultural dances and traditions of the people of Sabah, a living example of the 1Malaysia concept.
The legend tells the story of Arung Salamiah, a beautiful woman from an aristocratic family who only had her eyes on Tanjung Kalang despite being surrounded by admirers.
Her family did not approve of her love for Tanjung Kalang who was from a different social class, and planned to marry her off to someone of the same status.
In what is seen as a show of frustration, Tanjung Kalang embarked on a journey across Sabah to search for his true love.
The performance also featured the culture and dances Tanjung Kalang experienced in his journey, including the Penansang dance which originates from Semporna and Sazau Bobohizan staged by the Kadazan Papar community.
Tanjung Kalang’s journey started at the scenic Pulau Boheydulang near Semporna, then across Semporna, Tawau, Sandakan, Kinabatangan, Papar, Bongawan, Tenom, Keningau and Serudong in Kalabakan before ending in Semporna.
I am a true Sabahan. I know for the fact that I am from the first time I was born into this world. But I have to be honest with you. Some of the dances are new to me. I am always a fan of the festive season especially in Sabah and yet, I was taken aback knowing that, despite the experience as I used to dance before, some of the dances performed were quite rare and of course, inviting at the most point of it.
For this first part, I am happy to share with all of you the children of the breathtaking Sabah Fest 2010, Arung Salamiah.
