Strong Winds And Rough Seas Warning
KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Meteorology Department Tuesday issued a warning for strong winds and rough seas over the South China Sea, as well as coastal waters of Sabah, northern Sarawak, Kelantan and Terengganu.
This weather condition is expected to prolong until Saturday.The Department in its statement said the condition was also dangerous to all shipping activities, oil platform and coastal activities.
The direction and wind speed from the West/Southwest is expected to be over 60km per hour with waves reaching a height of up to 5.5 metres, and will affect areas in northern Sabah including Layang-Layang, Palawan and Kudat.For western Sabah, Labuan, northern Sarawak, Kelantan and Terengganu, wind speed between 40km to 60km per hour is expected and with waves of between 2.5 metres to 4.5 metres expected.--
